Spanning a land area of approximately 200 hectares, Borey Peng Huoth The Star Platinum is currently Cambodia’s largest landed housing project. It is located in the southeast district of Chbar Ampov, which is dissected by National Road 1 connecting Phnom Penh with Vietnam. National Road 1 is one of Cambodia's National Highways and has recently undergone widening and improvement works.
The project has been developed over many years and is made up of several different phases. The developer is Peng Huoth.
Over time, the development has evolved from a purely landed housing scheme to now include the Southbridge International School, a condominium project and the under construction PH Eco Mall.

Target Market
Due to the land ownership laws in Cambodia, foreigners are not permitted to own freehold land thus the primary target market is the domestic market. The main target market has been Cambodia’s middle income bracket for owner occupation. There are also a number of villas selling for prices in excess of $2 million that have been purchased by wealthy Cambodians. The development is also popular with expatriates in the rental market.
Status and Performance
The first phases of the project, which included The Star Platinum and The Star Platinum Athina, were launched in 2010 and completed in stages from 2012 onwards. The initial phases provided approximately 450 units and took a period of 36 months to sell the houses. The most recent phase to launch was Euro Ville which launched in 2017 and is now 90% sold. Euro Ville comprises approximately 500 houses, Euro Park (a European themed shopping and leisure attraction) and a convention and exhibition centre. The developer is acquiring more land and estimates that, once completed, the finished project will occupy a total land area of approximately 300 hectares.
